Magico A3 Loudspeakers deliver all of the brand’s technology with an attractive price point.
Historically, Magico has only dabbled in exotic, new, and expensive technologies, making it difficult for many audiophiles to get their hands on the sacred brand (even when they purchase pre-owned). However, the A3 Loudspeakers now make both the Magico brand and it’s magnificent sound accessible to a much broader audience.
The A3 combines many Magico technologies that has not been seen at this price-point. Among these astonishing features include a braced and anodized aluminum enclosure, carbon nanographene cones, neodymium based motor systems, a beryllium tweeter and an elliptical crossover. Now, what seemed impossible was made possible.
Magico A3 Speakers Features:
High Frequency Driver
Magico delivers extended high frequencies with its beryllium-diaphragm tweeter with an optimized 28-mm dome surface. This design was based on the fundamental design platform and geometry found in the M-Project tweeter. Magico created a customized neodymium motor system specifically for the A3 speakers. The system is encased in the brand’s latest generation damping materials that facilitate greater power handling, low distortion, linear voice coil movement and provides dynamic capabilities for the listener.
Midrange Frequency driver
The A3’s newly developed six inch mid-range driver utilizes a multi-wall carbon fiber cone and a layer of XG Nanographene which provides ideal weight to rigidity ratios and nearly perfect dampening factor. Overhung neodymium based motor systems use massive magnets to ensure a stable magnetic field within the A3 Loudspeakers 75-mm pure titanium voice coils..
Low Frequency driver
New Gen 8 Magico nano-tech inspired the A3 speakers dual 7-inch woofers. The speakers have the same properties and materials that provide the perfect amount of damping, stiffness and mass. It’s chassis was also tested with those same properties in mind. The A3 loudspeakers achieve minimal acoustic impact by reducing vibration modes and maximizing airflow. A completely new N48, neodymium motor system anchors low frequency reproducers to achieve an ultra stabilized magnetic field. Additionally, pure titanium 75mm voice coils use the same technology found in the mod-range. Those drivers are optimized for nominal music related distortions in both the time and frequency domains. They employ the latest
The A3 Midrange and Low frequency drivers were optimized for minimal music related distortions in its band pass, in both the frequency and time domains using latest state of the art FEA simulation of acoustical, mechanical, electromagnetic and thermal behavior. All of this is now being done on a single platform, allowing Magico to take the next step in performance optimization.
A3 Loudspeakers Crossover
Using Magico’s proprietary Elliptical Symmetry Crossover, all four of the A3 speaker’s drivers are integrated and contain components all the way from Mundorf Germany. A 3-way network utilizes a 24db per octave Linkwitz-Riley filter that minimizes distortion and maximizes frequency bandwidth.
Like all Magicos, the A3 impressive enclosure is a feat of engineering in an of itself. Made entirely of 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum which is identical to materials developed for the Q series. It is finished with a brushed anodized ‘skin.’
