However, the built-in DAC in computers (part of the motherboard) is inadequate for achieving high-quality digital to analog conversion. An external DAC is essential. The Pink Faun I2S bridge establishes a high-quality I2S (PCM) connection between the music computer and the DAC. It also serves as a filter to eliminate any negative effects from the computer and deliver a clean digital signal.
